اليوم تُكمل السينما و التلفاز 3 اعوام بدون جيمس جاندولفيني (1961-2013 ) .
ديفيد تشيس - مولف سوبرانوس - :" تعمّدت ان تكون النهاية غامضة بحيثُ لا يعرف المُشاهد فعلاً ماذا حدث للشخص الذي يهتم لحاله لمدة ثمان سنوات - مدة عرض المسلسل - كي يشعروا و لو قليلاً باليأس الذي انتابني عند النهاية ، النهاية تعني لي نهاية الجزء الاعظم في حياتي و اني الان عُدت رجل عجوز لا فائدة له ، اردت ان يشاركني المُشاهدون ذلك الشعور .
و بعد وفاة جيمس في 2013 كُلما اشاهد النهاية اجهش في البكاء و اشعر بضيقٍ في التنفس لان النهاية الان تعني لي ترك جزء من حياتي و وداع صديق .
لم استطع يوماً العودة للتلفاز بعد ذلك . "
"اتذكر عند الانتهاء من تصوير النهاية جلست وحيداً احاول استيعاب انه لا يوجد " سوبرانوس " بعد الان و جاء جيمس و احتضني و كأنه يعلم ما يدور بخاطري من يأس و اسف و اني - ربما- لن استطيع كتابة شيء كهذا ابداً .
اخترت جيمس لأني اعرفه جيداً انه - رغم هيئة الدب - شخص يُصارع دائماً من اجل الوصول للمعرفة و الحق ، دائماً شخص منزعج و كثير التساؤل و الاهم ..مُكتئب ، و ذلك التناقض بين هيئته و مشاعره جعلني اشعر ان القدر اعطاني هِبة في دور توني سوبرانوس بعد رفض "لايوتا"
عندما حصل على زيادة ضخمة بعد نجاح الموسم الرابع قسّم الزيادة على الكاست بحيث يحصل الجميع على 33 الف دولار اكثر على الحلقة الواحدة .
اتمنى ان يجد جيمس سلاماً في الموت و اجابةً لسؤال قلبِه . "
